As I mentioned last week, I wanted to start showing outfit ideas that feature one item of clothing worked around my existing wardrobe. I think the toughest part of translating a trend item into your own closet is figuring out if it will play well with others. Luckily, these Zara Drapey Pleated Drawstring Trousers are pretty versatile and can roll in a variety of situations.
On the weekends, if you’re at the Union Square Greenmarket, you will see me rolling around buying food for the week in an outfit just like this. I have a crazy wardrobe of rocker tees that I’ve been collecting since my teens, and I pair them with anything that sort of makes sense. These pants paired with one of those well-worn, super-soft tees make me feel like I’m getting away with something. They are, quite frankly, made for each other.
Paired with a zippy woven bucket bag and some flats (and my glasses, because I rarely get dolled up in the off-hours) and I’m good to go.
What I’m wearing:(new) Zara Drapey Pleated Drawstring Trousers; (existing) Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply Baseball Tee (no longer available; similar styles here😉 Cartagena Mochila Bag; Lanvin Metallic Textured Leather Ballet Flats.
